Generals provides some very helpful and innovative technologies on the tyre to help with tyre wear, or even uneven wear.
Visual Alignment Indicators(VAI) - This is an indicator on the shoulder of the tyre to let you know if your tyres are in alignment with each other. If they are not then one indicator will wear out whilst you still have the other in tact. This will give you an early indicator you need to sort your wheel alignment out otherwise this problem will cause your tyres to wear unevenly and even cause rapid wear.
Replacement Tyre Monitor (RTM) - This has the words 'REPLACEMENT TIRE MONITOR' clearly through the middle of the tyre tread. Once your tyres get down to 3mm of tread left (the minimum recommended safety limit), the words would have worn away and left to say 'REPLACE TIRE'. This gives you a straight forward easy way to check when your tyres need changing. This saves the hassle of popping into a garage for someone to check, or using them fiddly tread depth gauges.
